I would highly recommend Paul Idstien to anyone who was considering building a log cabin home. I went into this venture with no idea of how to begin (had not even purchased land yet) and with many questions and concerns. He took me step by step through the process from what to consider when purchasing land, the construction loan, and designing the plans that would best suit my wants and budget. I still cannot believe that the exact cabin that I envisioned is exactly what I now come home to everyday!!
Paul never made me feel as if I had a stupid question or concern and was very good about contacting me with any uncertainties or questions throughout the project. I heard from neighbors on several occasions of how diligent and hard his crew worked. His crew was extremely polite and I knew them all by name by the second week of the build; it made “the process” exciting and fun (we shared lots of breakfast tacos). I really appreciated how Paul made himself very approachable; there is no doubt he is a very genuine and caring builder/person.
Regardless of how small or large your build may be, Paul will approach it with the same integrity and pride in craftsmanship that is difficult to find in this day in age. Dear Paul: Its been five years since we have been in our log house and we are just as happy today as the day we first stepped foot into it. The electric bills are always low, no matter what the season. It is so ” homey” it puts a smile on our faces every time we drive up to it! We have had a few things added over the years and have continually been impressed by what the construction people have said – they admire the quality of your work – just as we do. It is so solid and full of quality! I have to say that we would make the same decisions today that we did five years ago. We would build a log home and we would ask you to build it!!!
